We are looking to actively gather potential Personal Assistants ready for school holidays to support young people in Flintshire, please apply on this link if you would like to be considered by our families/employers. We will have a number of parents who are looking for support during the holidays, this could be in their own home, or within the community or a planned activity. Young peoples needs will vary, and we will support the parent with looking through and matching potential applicants with their child, and arrange and support with meetings / interviews as required
- About the role

You would be expected to positively support a young person to achieve their agreed outcomes through the summer period. This will vary from family to family on how this may look. This could involve going for walks, trips to the park, arts and crafts, supports in a variety of activities.

Person who has a fun personality and enjoys making a difference to young people. Someone who has good people skills and is good at reading situations. Kindness and energetic with a lot of common sense A good communicator, understanding how peoples communication varies Experience of Disabilities, Autism, SEND Experience
- What you can expect from me
-
support with the onboarding processes, around recuitment, DBS's, training, guidance and support. Our families will support you to get to know the young person and what works or doesnt work for the child and how best to communicate and engag with their son or daughter.
- Days and Times required

These will vary depending on the individual family, if you confirm your availability we will support those discussions etc.
- Necessary Training
- Dependant on person you ill be supporting, we offer moving and positioning training, Autism, medication, we will personalise training to meet your needs. PA induction wil need to be completed via online training portal. Previous training or lived life experiences

If not already in place you will be required to complete an Enhanced DBS check before starting employment.
